It grows in all types of soil, including calcareous ones. Its very deep roots also make it suitable for strengthening slopes.

Acer pseudoplatanus "Atropurpureum" (Maple "Atropurpureum") is a species native to Germany. The fruits and the lower part of the leaves are very dark in color, black or pale purple, totally different from the type species. This type of deciduous tree has a very large crown, with branches longer than the trunk, spread out in a very attractive way where it has enough space for development. The leaves have 5 lobes, are 8-16 cm wide, dark green on the upper side and furrowed with gray stripes on the lower side, with a beautiful autumn yellow color. The yellow-green flowers appear in May, all at once or consecutively in the form of bunches. It is a very strong species and resistant to cold, wind, heat and urban pollution. It grows well in any type of soil, including calcareous soil. Its very strong and deep roots make it suitable for planting in areas that require the consolidation of soils, slopes, slopes, etc., to support them.
